Piste &
Lift system
The Tignes / Val d'Isere ski area is broken
up into six sectors, all of which are covered on the one "Espace
Killy" ski pass. Alternatively you can purchase the "Super
Tignes" ski pass which covers just the Tignes area.
If you ever tire of Tignes and Val d'Isere
(very unlikely) there
are other resorts nearby such as St Foy and La Rosiere which offer
wonderful skiing amongst the trees - this can be a good option in
poor weather conditions. They are located 15 minutes back down the
valley towards Bourg St Maurice and both offer a free day's skiing
included in the 6 day Espace Killy pass.
Carré Neige insurance
Recommended to supplement your own holiday
insurance it covers rescue expenses, as well as medical, pharmaceutical
and hospital expenses in the advent of an accident. Carré
Neige costs approximately €2.50 per day for adults and €2
per day for children.
Off-Piste Routes
There are countless off piste routes in the
area, with some of the best in the Brevieres area...a particular
favourite is the Vallon De La Sache.
